There are so many
items on the menu that you’ll be spoilt for choice!
Their Signature Pork Bone Soup is also a must try with
Hand Pulled Noodles originating from China with a history of over 400 years.
The signature pork bone soup is dense due to a high content of protein and
collagen, simmered under a slow fire for twelve hours.
First thing to try is of course the Dynasty 8 Flavours
Xiao Long Bao which should be eaten according to sequence: Original >
Ginseng> Foie Gras>Black Truffle>Cheesy>Crab Roe>
There is also a special way to taste the Xiao Long Bao
for maximum taste! First, lift it out of the steamer basket by its strongest
part, the topknot. Rest it back on the spoon, nibble a small hole to let out
the steam. Then, sip the tasty soup from the spoon and dip it gently into the
dish of vinegar and add some ginger. They recommend eating it without the
ginger and vinegar to enjoy the full flavour.
The Xiao Long Bao is
also available in original and each of the other flavours.
Wash it down with one
of their teas: Pu Er Tea, Jasmine, Tie Guanyin and Oolong.
For the appetizer,
start off your palate in chilled black
fungus in peppercorn vinaigrette for a light flavour.
Instead of their
dishes, you can for their Dim Sum such as the Pork Dumpling with Hot Chilli Vinaigrette. Or why not try both?
An unusual dish is
the stir-fried shredded pork served with
crepes. The taste of the pork goes well with the skin of the crepes.
For something sweet,
the sweet & sour sliced tioman fish is
a must try.
Taste the silky tofu
for this dish: Braised tofu and pork
A must is the fried
rice too! Fried Rice in Yang Zhou is
a mix of shrimp and vege for a perfectly flavourful taste.
If you’re in for
something reaaaaalyyyy spicy (or you could opt for less spicy) then the Poached Sliced Fish in Szechuan Style is
a unique choice with noodles and veggies added to the mix.
You might be full by
now but don’t miss out on trying their DESSERT!!!
If you love ‘mua chi’,
you’ll love their glutinous rice ball
topped with grated nuts for that oh-so-smooth taste.
A refreshing option
is their chilled aloe vera in osmanthus
juice. A perfect way to finish off the meal!
For a guilty
pleasure, try out their crispy pan-fried
For a traditional
choice, their black sesame glutinous
rice ball served in ginger soup will wake you right up!
