Grand Imperial London Duck, the first of its kind in Malaysia has arrived at Resorts World Genting’s shores. The restaurant made its mark in London’s extensive and never-ending list of eateries. The Grand Imperial restaurant spans 12,000 square feet and is available for private functions as it includes a stage and a mini banquet hall that can fit up to 25 tables. A section of the restaurant of 2000 square feet is dedicated to the Grand Imperial London Duck for normal dining.

Chef Desmond Wooi has set a new standard in Cantonese fine dining with previous experience at Orchard Hotel, Singapore and his knack for innovation when creating dishes. He also pays special attention when plating each dish, each of which are definitely worth a picture.

Any other roast ducks you’ve tried will pale in comparison to the pièce de résistance of the menu as the specially imported ducks are much juicier due to the weather over in London.  The ducks are perfectly crispy in taste and combined with the meat make for a fantastic dish.

The Grand Imperial Lobster Combination is an impressive dish combining Lobster Claw with Salad Vegetable and Grilled Lobster Meat with Japanese Mayonnaise.

A unique concoction that Chef Desmond has whipped up is the Seafood Braised Rice. Served in a stone pot, the rice with scallops and prawns isn’t just eaten the usual way. Creamy but light soup is poured into the bowl until the rice sizzles. It then becomes an interesting combination of sizzling fried rice.

Another seafood speciality of the restaurant is the Cantonese Style River Prawn Noodles. The noodles, which are actually wantan noodles are rolled into a ball and deep-fried. Eaten with the enormous river prawn and the sauce, you’ll taste the succulence of the prawn and the crispiness of the noodles all at the same time.

After the main course, have a go for the desserts that consists of pandan jelly, mango pudding and deep fried pumpkin with sesame seeds for a sweet finish to the meal.

Other items on the menu include the Whole South African Abalone Braised with Abalone Sauce, U.S. Beef with Spring Onion & Ginger Egg Noodle and Pig trotter with preserved Bean Paste Hong Kong Noodles. A special Dim Sum menu is also available with various varieties on the menu.

Private rooms at the Grand Imperial Restaurant include an ensuite washroom and a karaoke set that seats 20.
