THE Ramadan buffet at Rajawali Coffee House, Resorts World Awana in Genting Highlands makes its return this year with the theme “Bazar Malam di Awana”, and features food and drink stalls arranged like a vibrant night market.
Diners can begin with the appetiser section offering Ulam-Ulaman Zaman Jepun (Japanese colonial-era salads) including Pegaga, Ulam Raja, Terung Pipit, Terung Bulu, Petai, Pucuk Janggus, Pucuk Mata Itik, Umbut Kelapa and Jantung Pisang.
The kerabu station offers all salads made from prawn, squid, fish and crab as well as traditional fare such as Jeruk Nyonya Masdor, Jeruk Kelubi, Jeruk Mempelam and Jeruk Salak.
For main courses, there are over 15 stalls serving Malay specialities from all over the country.
At Rosnie’s Stall, a whole Roasted Australian Lamb is served with Homemade Black Pepper Sauce and Mint Sauce.
Other dishes available include Awana Rendang Tok, Pais Ikan Tempoyak, nasi kandar, nasi briyani, Ram Lee WoW Burger,
Sup Meletup “Abe” Awana, ayam percik, Tempura-Style Deep-fried Seafood, nasi kerabu, nasi lemak, mee jawa, mee rebus, murtabak and roti canai.
For sweet endings, diners can choose from 40 types of Malay kuih at Taman Manisan “Che Re”, including Kueh Lapis, Kueh Talam, Kueh Lompang, Ondeh-Ondeh, Kueh Dangai, Kueh Akok, Kueh Bingka, Kueh Kole Kacang, Kueh Lompat Tikam, Badak Berendam, Kueh Bunga Tanjung, Cendol, Ais Batu Campur, Bubur Cha-Cha, Pengat Pisang Raja and Bubur Penambah Rase.
There will also be a Pondok Buah stall offering fresh local fruits such as watermelon, jackfruit, dragon fruit, rambutan, banana and papaya.
The Ramadan buffet at Rajawali Coffee House is priced at RM118 nett per adult and RM59 nett per child/senior citizen.
It is available until June 4 from 6pm to 9.30pm daily.
