The mark of superlative hospitality is the presence of superb service delivered in the subtlest, most refined manner to the highest of standards. And nowhere else in Malaysia is this taken more seriously than at Resorts World Genting. Three out of the seven hotels at Resorts World Genting have proudly received glittering accolades from the Forbes Travel Guide as the only Five-Star rating in Malaysia for Crockfords along with a Four-Star rating for Genting Grand and a Recommended rating for Maxims. Now, Resorts World Genting has now achieved another industry and world’s first; global leader in superior luxury hospitality training Magnums Butler Academy has introduced a new level of certification – the Diamond Lapel Pin.

“This is truly a magnificent recognition of our efforts here at Resorts World Genting,” says Dato’ Edward Holloway, Executive Vice President of Leisure and Hospitality for Resorts World Genting. “We started off with our identity being the only family integrated resort in the world and that remains true to this day but we have now proven our ability to deliver to our visitors in terms of luxury service. We are one of only two hospitality properties in Malaysia that undergoes training at the Magnums Butler Academy for our staff. With our three butlers receiving this prestigious award, they have proudly achieved the highest accreditation in the profession. We believe this allows us to set newer and higher benchmarks for service in the region and it shows the world our ability to deliver service excellence.”

Awarded only to butlers who have demonstrated and reached an outstanding standard of service through longevity, loyalty and consistent quality (having graduated through the Magnums Butler Academy), the Diamond Luxury Service Award was bestowed upon three Resorts World Genting butlers in a glittering ceremony at e18hteen, Maxims Hotel. The event was attended by Dato’ Edward Holloway, Executive Vice President of Leisure and Hospitality for Resorts World Genting, Josephine Ive, Director Principal Trainer of Magnums Butler Academy, representatives of the Magnum Butler Academy, butlers and staff of the three five-star hotels: Genting Grand, Maxims and Crockfords. The butlers – Santhakumar James, Jamilah binti Jamaludin and Shahnum Salleh – represent three of only four global recipients of the inaugural award, a distinction that exemplifies the lofty standards of hospitality that has become de rigeur at Resorts World Genting.

At the ceremony, Josephine Ive, Director Principal Trainer of Magnums Butler Academy said “Last year, we introduced this brand new accreditation for our butlers. Their requirements included paying amazing attention to detail in their service, being given a recommendation from their managers and having been with the same property for five years. I am very pleased to present this award myself to the three deserving recipients.”

Founded in Australia in 1987, Magnums Butler Academy is considered a world leader in luxury hospitality service training for hotels, private households and super yachts. The 7-star service Magnums Butler Academy is its flagship training course led by notable professionals in the industry, producing staff that have gone on to serve royalty, aristocracy, dignitaries and the world’s movers and shakers across the globe.
