Resorts World Genting hosted a fun-filled buka puasa dinner and outing for underprivileged children and senior citizens.

The group, comprising 158 children from Dar Asnaf Al-Fateh Gombak, Rumah Kasih Nurul Hasanah and Rumah Anak Yatim Dan Asnaf As-Solihin, as well as 12 senior citizens from Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas Husna Arrashid, were treated to the latest experiences available at the hilltop resort.

Upon arrival at Genting Grand Hotel, the guests were greeted by the Resorts World Genting team, including Puan Sri Cecilia Lim, wife of Genting Malaysia Bhd chairman Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay.

“Ramadan is a time where we are all reminded to be giving and this celebration is a small gesture by Resorts World Genting to the community,” said Cecilia.

The children and senior citizens witnessed the brand-new Batman Experience at SkyAvenue’s SkySymphony stage. The show dazzled guests as the history of the Caped Crusader played out across 360° wrap-around screens and transforming winch ball display set to a pulsating soundtrack.

The group also experienced a wintry wonderland at the Snow World at First World Plaza. The children were in awe of the snow and the 3D trick art attractions, enjoyed the toboggans rides and had snow ball fights with each other.

The group then proceeded to Adventureland, where they were brought back to a time when dinosaurs ruled the earth, and journeyed into a world of oddities at Ripley’s Believe it or Not, which showcased the wackiest and weirdest items.

Later, they enjoyed a special night market-themed Ramadan buffet at the hotel’s Rajawali Coffee House.

Each child received a goodie bag filled with stationery, snacks and duit raya, while each senior citizen received a bag containing necessities such as toothbrush, toothpaste, soap and shampoo.

The homes also received gift hampers filled with groceries.
