RWG will be opening two more rides at Skytropolis.
BE IT extreme rides or gravity-defying tricks, meeting adorable mascots or taking a selfie with Batman, Resorts World Genting (RWG) has it all under one roof.
Visitors of all ages can expect a fun-filled experience at Genting Highlands with a slew of activities to choose from.
“There is so much to discover and explore here, from this school holidays all the way until September.
“The events include Batman’s 80-year anniversary exhibition, Imaginatricks, a durian festival, Genting’s Highland Heroes Parade and the Genting Great Sale,” said RWG Entertainment and Event vice-president Kevin Tann during the launch of the School Holidays Events and Raya Celebration at RWG.
Great deals are available at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets during Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Children can interact with six lovable Genting Highlands Heroes animal mascots at a themed gallery with games and parades until June 30.
Mascots in the form of Callie the dragon, Allie the elephant, Tabby the tiger, Joe the urang utan, Geno the dinosaur, as well as the latest addition of Benny the entertainer sun bear will be making special appearances at the Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park and Genting’s Highland Heroes Adventurous Holiday Pavilion.
The Pavilion will be transformed into a luminous jungle, decorated with purple, blue, pink and green bioluminescent lights.
There will also be a digital colouring workshop, augmented reality dance, virtual butterflies as well as a Genting Highland Heroes Parade at 3pm every day.

“We are kicking off the school holidays with a total rebranding and reconstruction of Genting’s Highland Heroes, first introduced in the 1990s to ensure a complete experience for families and children.
“We are extending this activity until the end of June to cater to the Singapore holidays as well.
“Meanwhile, we will open two more rides in Skytropolis soon and we expect all 22 rides to be ready within the next four months,” said RWG Theme Park vice-president Sanjay Nadarajah, adding that they were expecting 60,000 to 80,000 visitors daily.

For something more thrilling, Imaginatricks, which is a fusion of awesome tricks, synchronised dance and jaw-dropping stunts, is set to wow visitors.
Running until Nov 10 and from Nov 19 to May 24, 2020, the variety show produced by Russia’s Agosta Artist Co and directed by Abraham Kostanian brings together performers who will put on a world-class circus act, basketball acrobats, the Wheel of Suspense and many more.
Tickets are priced from RM96 for gallery seats to RM196 for preferred seats.
Durian fans are in for a treat as RWG will host three prestigious durian orchard operators in Malaysia, namely Durian Republic, Weng Fatt Orchard Trading and May Jie Gohtong Trading.
They will get to savour more than 50 tonnes of local favourites such as Black Thorn, Musang King, D24 and Red Prawn during the 2019 Genting Durian Festival at the Boulevard, Genting Grand Outdoor Carpark from noon to 10pm daily until Sept 16.
Batman merchandise can be purchased at SkyAvenue in conjunction with the caped crusader's 80th anniversary.
Visitors can also try Musang King cendol, durian ice cream, durian coffee as well as fruits like mangosteen and rambutan.
Fatimah Product Enterprise from Jonker Street, Melaka, will be serving its pandan coconut, coconut shake and kelapa lambung to quench durian lovers’ thirst.
“These orchards are the three biggest players in the durian industry and we hope that aficionados will enjoy the wide variety here.
“To hype things up even more, we are proud to be the first in South-East Asia to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Batman, the Dark Knight,” said RWG Entertainment and Events assistant vice-president Roger Ong.
Until July 10, the world’s first Batman audio-visual show entitled “The Call is Out” will depict heroic tales and history of the Bat family as well as iconic villains such as Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Two-Face and Riddler.
It will be shown at SkySymphony 360 degrees wraparound LED screens with 1,001 winch balls display system set to a pulsating soundtrack.
At Sky Atrium, a section is devoted to panel displays of Batman’s key milestones, illustrating the development of the superhero from 1939 to 2019.
This will be a chance for DC Comic fans to snap a selfie with life-sized statues of the caped crusader.
There will also be a live song-and-dance performances, meet-and-greet session as well as trick art wall on display.
Last but not least, Genting visitors can wrap up their visit with some retail therapy.
The Genting Great Sale, which runs until June 9, is offering a huge range of products across SkyAvenue, First World Plaza, Genting Highlands Premium Outlets and Awana SkyCentral.
“This is the second year running for the sale, where 420 participating outlets across four core retail assets in RWG will be offering irresistible deals for customers with up to 70% discount.
“After some retail therapy, I would encourage visitors to chill out over a cocktail at our al-fresco dining overlooking the highlands,” said RWG Retail and Tenancy vice-president Angela Hoe.

Those who spend RM300 and above in participating RWG outlets are entitled to redeem a pair of return Awana Skyway cable car tickets while those who spend RM600 and above in two combined receipts are entitled to redeem an exclusive Adidas C40 Climalite cap.
